The Government of Canada announced that the four-year cumulative duration rule does not apply to temporary foreign workers in Canada, as of December 13, 2016. The cumulative duration rule has limited some low-level (NOC C and D) temporary foreign workers in Canada to four years who then became ineligible to work in Canada for the next four years. Now, the 4-year cap is lifted.
